| September 7th - 13th is National Suicide Prevention Week Response of Suffolk County invites the public to attend “Crisis Intervention – Listening In A New Way”, a free workshop offered in recognition of National Suicide Prevention Week. The presentation will take place on September 16th, at 6:30 pm, at the North Shore Montessori School, 216 Christian Avenue, and light refreshments will be served. Experts believe that most suicidal individuals do not want to die, they just want to end the pain they are experiencing. When suicidal intent or risk is detected early, lives can be saved. “Crisis Intervention – Listening In A New Way” will demonstrate how to help people feel understood and supported by listening in a new way.
